RN; BSN student
The nursing profession used to be considered mostly a ‘feminine’ career, but that’s changing very quickly. Because nursing offers so many opportunities and experiences – not to mention job security and competitive pay – more and more men are joining the profession every day. After assessing the job market and the limits of being a psychologist under the managed care system, I found nursing to be the better alternative. And the great thing for me is that I don’t have to abandon my interest in psychology, because I plan to practice psychiatric nursing. It’s the best of both worlds!
