Insoo L.

Baltimore, MD
RN; Medical Intensive Care

The best thing about my nursing degree is the multitude of opportunities it presents. There are so many different paths I can take within and outside of the hospital setting. I can work on the floor, in management, in finance, or in administration, to name just a few. The opportunities are endless. Nursing is such an exhilarating field. Every day is different because every patient is different. I am constantly on the go, which makes the day fly by. The days are sometimes draining, but very much worth it. I also love nursing because it’s a very “hands-on” profession. We get to know patients on a very personal level because we have so much interaction with them. The most fulfilling aspect of the job is seeing them get well and leave the hospital with their family. It’s nice to know I made a difference in someone’s life. Also, I have no worries about job security. The more I explore the available options, the more I realize that there are jobs everywhere for me. With my BSN, I can do just about anything, and that’s very reassuring.
